This show presents the lighter, happiest side of Dickens’s first novel THE PICKWICK PAPERS. The two visits to the Wardle family at Manor Farm by the eccentric members of the Pickwick Club provide four distinct comic episodes: the chaise ride, the rook-shooting, the Christmas party and the sport on the ice. As well as the Pickwickians, Brian plays about twenty other characters, including the immortal Sam Weller, petite Miss Arabella Allen and Joe the Fat Boy, to say nothing of the old Grandma Wardle or the Spinster Aunt Rachel.
